Alexander Pushkin
Night

It is for you my voice, affectionate and tender,
Disturbs the silence of the night’s belated splendor.
A wistful candle sadly flickers by my bed,
Still burns; my rhymes still splatter quietly and blend
And flow, the springs of love, to you they’re gently flowing,
And brightly in the dark your wondrous eyes are glowing;
They smile, and sounds I hear at which my spirit soars:
My friend, my tender friend... I love... I’m yours... I’m yours!..
